About the Task Force

The Task Force was established in 2017. The purpose of the North Dakota Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Task Force is to develop and implement a comprehensive statewide approach to the prevention of child sexual abuse.
Currently, the Task Force is established through 2025.

Six Guiding Pillars of the Task Force

Policy, Advocacy & Legislation

The Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Task Force will advance a legislative agenda to increase protective factors for children & families.

Collaboration

The Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Task Force will develop, coordinate, and foster a statewide coalition of dedicated prevention professionals to increase the coordinated impact of CSA prevention initiatives.

Organizational Policy & Procedure

The Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Task Force will strengthen organizational prevention efforts by developing a Human Resources CSAP Guide that reinforces policies, practices, norms, and beliefs that emphasize the prevention of child sexual abuse.

Education & Awareness

The Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Task Force will increase understanding of risk and protective factors for child sexual abuse perpetration and victimization by building community awareness and social movements.

Funding & Growth

The Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Task Force will develop a long-range sustainability plan that includes diversifying funding through fee for services, grants and donations diversified to obtain long-term sustainable funding.

Prevention Research

The Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Task Force will conduct, support, and disseminate child sexual abuse prevention research to promote best practices for prevention strategies across North Dakota.
